Artwork Overload!!

Sam is my creative little man. He LOVES to draw...expecially superheros. I told him I would make a post just of his artwork. Even at school he is thinking of Batman ;) And apparently Snowmen in the middle of the night are thinking of Batman too!
We display his artwork on the Laundry room door.

Here is the rest of his artwork...ENJOY! We sure do ;)

He makes superhero books all the time...we have a folder full of them!

Sam made a pizza in school today. A pizza woman came to class and helped them make them, and then they all got to eat pizza for snack.
Sam -
I know I wont be able to keep all of your artwork...because you make so much...but I will cherish and keep as much as I can. You will always be an artist in my eyes! And I am sure so much more.

It's Maple Syrup time...field trip

We got to go on another field trip last week. We went out to Funks Grove to learn how to make Maple syrup. It was really neat. They have a small area where the kids could look at reptiles and touch skinned animals. Sam says....this skunk stinks!I just thought this was funny b/c if you look close enough it says Welcome to the Nut House! Here he is drilling into a tree..Then the next step is to tap tap tap into the tree....Then you put the bucket on and wait wait wait. Actually our tree was the only one that day that any sap came out while we were there. I think it was in the sunshine warming up. Everyone else came over to ours to see it drip. Got to take some maple syrup home with us. Pretty neat trip....So glad I am able to do some of these things with him...I am one lucky mommy ;)

Sam's 5th Birthday continuted...

This is the cake we had on his actual birthday. Mommy got a little carried away with cake. ;)These are the cake and cupcakes we had for his party. The kids playing with the superhero stuff waiting for everyone to get to the party. They all drew pictures...I am going to make them into a book for Sam to keep to remember!Everyone at his Party/Playgroup. Katelyn crying about something...probably b/c she was last to get cake ;)The boys playing downstairs. They were pretty much beating eachother up and thought it was great!Who is that masked woman?! Your secret is safe with me....except I showed your hubby this picture on the field trip last week!Sam took a picture with all his superheros. Hard to believe he had none of the before Christmas...now he has almost everything for the Bat castle and some Superhero Squad stuff too. That is what you get for being such a good little boy. We love ya...Hope you had a great Birthday Sam.

Sam is 5

It feels like just yesterday I was updating a post about my lil man turning 4...and now he is 5. Time goes by so fast. He is going to go to Kindergarten this year, he is going to learn how to ride a two wheel bike (got one for his b-day) he says he wants to ride the bus (makes mommy nervous). Brings a tear to my eye...being Sad and Happy. He is just the best little boy I mom could ask for and it will be so fun to watch him grow into a young man. I just hope he stays as sweet as he is now forever. I like to make the the day special. He decorated the sign and we put all kinds of pictures of just Sam on the fireplace.
Getting ready to go to church on V-day/Sam's Birthday. He sang some songs for us during the service with the other Sunday School classes.

We went to lunch at Elroys and watched some of the Olympics. He enjoyed watching the people ski down the big hills. Then we got him some Batman balloons for his B-day party with his friends for the next day.

Mommy is so upset b/c I forgot my phone AND camera when we went Bowling for his B-day for the first time. Memaw and Papa went too. Nana and G-Bob are in Florida for the month so I told them when they get back they can take him to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. Tee hee.
So, when we got home I made him take a picture with the bowling ball and show 5 fingers so we will know what we did!

Opening presents from Memaw and Papa, Mommy and Dadoe and Baby Girl.

My lil superhero's

There are no words...ok, maybe there are....how stinkin cute are they. I just love them so ;)

Happy Birthday Memaw!

Memaw with some of her grandbabies.
Took this one around Christmas but thought it was pretty cute!

Field Trip to the Discovery Museum

Guess who?! Sam loves climbing...he is like spiderman in a big web ;)
Katelyn got to paint and run around with Memaw and Papa while Sam was in the classroom.

Sam digging for dinosaur bones.

Making his dinosaur a place to live.

Playing with his school buddies in the pizza parlor.

What a cute pizza delivery man!

Catch up

I guess a lot has happened since New Years Eve! I need to post a field trip or two and a special little boy's 5th Birthday! Here are just a few pictures from Jan. Sam and I went to an ISU game with Lexi, Lindsay, Uncle Dave and Aunt Amy and G-Bob. It was fun...but Sam thought it was to loud.
Sam just LOVES to draw. Here are a few of his masterpieces that mommy laminated so we could keep forever! He LOVES superhero's. I think I might try to send one of these pictures into a comic book and see if we can get a picture in one. His friend Josh got a cool picture of Aquaman in a comic book...which gave us the idea!
