Backward picture overload

So, maybe if when you added pictures and they stayed in the right order and together I would blog more. You would think I would learn and upload backwards. Oh well. So here is a load of other summertime pictures..... Sam with his friend Joshua are playing T-ball this summer. We are working with Sam. He is not that into it. He is left handed so for awhile we didn't have the right kind of glove...and it does not help that he is afraid of the ball (got that from me!)

Landscaping

We did some landscaping this weekend and last. Mike and I did our old house so we figured we would do this one too...it might just take a lot longer with kids! We got the front area done for the time being bc we were tired of seeing just mulch and weeds. I think it looks pretty good!!

Then and Now!!!

I have been wanting to do this. I am skipping a lot of pictures of them in between but I thought this would be neat. This was our first couch picture with our little men!Then we all added our baby girls! And this was a few weeks ago with the whole group a little more then a year after the above...plus another little man (Ryan). Here is just the kids recently. It was fun to watch the pictures go by and see what they were all doing. Josh, Ryan and Natalie were pretty much the same, but Cindy's kids got better and mine got worse :)

We went to the pool one day with everyone. It was fun. Didn't get to many pictures b/c you can't have a camera and 2 little kids in water!

We always have so much fun when Cindy comes to town. Sure wish she lived closer. Marla and I are trying to figure out how to get to NC to visit her...and wondering if we go with 5 kids or just her and I go to visit ;) I am leaning toward the second option myself!!

VBS 2009

I am just going to do several different posts b/c I have many pictures to share. It is so hard to do these posts sometimes b/c the pictures get all mixed up. So....these are pictures of Sam at his vacation bible school this summer. Mommy volunteered with snacks so we both got the same cool shirt. It was about space this year. He really liked it!


We got to go to DQ for dinner before one of our trips to VBS. I just thought he looked so handsome here (above)Hanging out before it was over. The little girl in pink is his cousin Amber who was in his same group this year. It was funny, after the first night I asked if he talked to her and he said...."well mom, i stepped on her foot when we were in line and she was not very happy" So funny what kids say ;) He said he didn't mean to do it. I went around like a crazy mom (I get it from my mom...sorry mom, but it is true) and took pictures of him doing the different activities. And here he is with his Uncle Rob. Uncle Rob helps out with the skits every night. Last year he was a pirate, this year a space commander. He used the voice of one of the pengins from the Madagascar movie. All the kids thought he was a hoot.

Sam ran in the Fun Run on Friday evening. Just a fun way to get some exercise. It was pretty cute. He is standing next to Chloe from school and his friend Josh is in the orange shirt. Action shot. He ran around 1/2 the track and started to tucker out. I ran too so I kept him going to the finish. Then he got a ribbon, and a snack!Just hanging out!!The kids playing in the sprinklers yesterday. They both LOVE the water. Katelyn kept running up to it, got wet and then ran to Dadoe so he could whipe her face with a towel. Afterwards we gave them an outside bath!Today at the SF pool. Glad Mike went because I am not sure I can go there with both kids by myself anymore. They both just want to run in the water and go down the slide over and over again. Action shot of Katelyn!

We have a busy week coming up. Vacation Bible School which I volunteer and Sam goes too. Our Parks and Rec stuff starts. Katelyn and I are going to do a gymnastics class together and Sam starts T Ball. And we have library reading programs to go get prizes for! Have a great week!

All kinds of stuff

We have been pretty busy since Mothers Day (my last post). Sam finished up Preschool for the year ;( It was bittersweet. I look forward to spending the summer with him and Katelyn, but it is sad that the year went so fast and he wont see his friends every week. Here are a few pictures from his first day and his last. You cant really see a huge difference in him but you can tell his sister has been doing some growing!!Sam on his 1st day of school. He is telling you he is 3 :)Sam on his last day. At the end of May my dad retired from State Farm after 38 years of working there. GO DAD!!!!

We went to see him for one last state farm lunch and got a picture of the kids with him in his office.

Just thought this was a funny picture of Katelyn. She is so darn cute!

So, the above picture was one day, then the next day or two she started to break out. She had a reaction to her medicine she was taking for her ears. ;( She looks just like I did b/c it happened to me when I was little too. So hard to see her like this. She was fine, it just looked horrible.

Katie and I took a water exploration class together. This was her last day. Dadoe came to see how much fun she had and to take some pictures. She waved to him and it made for a pretty darn cute picture!

Friday night we went to our first baseball game. We went to see the peoria chiefs thanks to Becca and PJ! We had fun. He kinda didn't like how it was so long but he had fun. We got to see some awesome fireworks afterwards!

We took a few pictures of us..he was making silly faces and I didn't know it. Pretty smart!

This was them last night doing puzzles together. Katelyn is just now getting good at them. It took her a little longer then Sam. Sam was always doing them. Love when they play together!

Just a little video of Katelyn in the pool. She learned how to get out safe and she loves jumping in as long as you are right there to catch her!
